The leading Swiss fintech-focused and government-backed hackathon returns as a cornerstone of the inaugural Swiss Fintech Week, with winning teams set to pitch innovations at Kongresshaus Zurich.
Zurich, 17 February 2026 – From 19-21 June, SwissHacks return for its third edition as a flagship event of the inaugural Swiss Fintech Week 2026 (from 19 to 25 of June). Initiated by the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF) and powered by Tenity, this 48-hour hackathon will bring together a diverse talent pool of builders, coders, and creatives from around the world.
This hackathon will serve as a cornerstone event within Swiss Fintech Week, reinforcing Switzerland’s position as a global hub for financial innovation at a time when financial institutions are undergoing profound AI-driven transformation and accelerating the shift toward on-chain finance and tokenized infrastructure
SwissHacks 2026 is a 48-hour immersive experience where diverse talent—ranging from students to seasoned professionals—joins forces with industry-leading organizations to tackle the most pressing challenges in the financial sector with a strengthened emphasis on frontier technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Assets, programmable money, and scalable on-chain architectures.
This year’s edition further sharpens its focus on developing solutions that are not only innovative but scalable, providing participants with a unique opportunity to experiment, prototype, and validate frontier technologies in real-world financial use cases.
The event marks the official starting point for the inaugural Swiss Fintech Week, a week-long celebration of financial innovation taking place across Zurich.
