Tenity and KB Financial Group Launch KB Starters Singapore Accelerator to Catalyze Six Korean Startups’ Expansion into Southeast Asia

October 8, 2025

Singapore – October 08, 2025KB Financial Group (KBFG), Korea’s leading financial services provider, and Tenity, a global fintech innovation ecosystem and early-stage investor, have successfully launched the KB Starters Singapore Accelerator Program.

The initiative supports Korean startups in their expansion to Singapore, providing market insights, local consulting, and business development opportunities to accelerate cross-border growth.

Since 2023, KBFG has collaborated with Tenity to drive the global development of Korean startups. This year’s program underscores the Group’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting startups in scaling internationally.

A representative from KB Financial Group stated, “We are happy to mark three years of collaboration with Tenity. This year’s program is especially meaningful as it has been redesigned to focus on proof-of-concept opportunities and targeted business matching, creating tangible outcomes for participating startups.”

Six Startups Selected for Singapore Expansion

The program welcomed six high-potential startups across deep tech, fintech, and enterprise solutions, each bringing differentiated business models and technology capabilities:

Furiosa AI | Developer of high-performance, power-efficient AI accelerators (NPUs) for data centers, computer vision, GenAI, and LLM workloads.

Webaresoft | Provider of OSORI APIM, an API management solution enabling seamless development and operation of APIs.

Sendbird | Sendbird is the trusted communication platform with AI Agents that empower businesses to transform customer experiences through smarter, personalized conversational automation.

Antock | A fintech company delivering end-to-end automation for collecting, integrating, and analyzing corporate data—empowering precise, efficient, and comprehensive corporate evaluations.

Canopy | Real-time wage settlement platform allowing workers instant access to earned wages.

Seanergy Partner | Marine technology company facilitating the digital transformation of marine-fuel transactions and supply chains using AI and big data.

Proof-of-Concept and Business Matching Success

As part of the accelerator, Furiosa AI and Webaresoft participated in a proof-of-concept (PoC) program, while Sendbird, Antock, Canopy, and Seanergy Partner engaged in targeted business matching sessions.

Furiosa AI conducted a successful PoC with Nervotec, a predictive healthcare company specializing in remote technologies for mental health, insurance, and clinical trials. The collaboration validated Furiosa AI’s high-performance solutions, and both parties are now exploring potential next steps.

Regarding this PoC program, Umair Javaid, Co-Founder and CTO of Nervotec, highlighted the positive outcomes achieved from this engagement.

“Through this PoC, we integrated Furiosa AI’s high-performance infrastructure with our Nervoscan technology to create a virtual doctor that generates initial screening reports from remotely estimated health parameters. The collaboration demonstrated accuracy, low latency, and scalable traffic handling, validating the feasibility of delivering such services in Singapore and across ASEAN. This is an important step in our mission to make predictive healthcare more accessible, efficient, and impactful.”

Meanwhile, Webaresoft has initiated a PoC with Staple AI, an AI automation platform that extracts and integrates data from documents into business systems within seconds. The project aims to test how Webaresoft’s API management solution can be integrated with Staple AI’s capabilities.

Singapore: A Strategic Hub for Korean Startups

The program reflects a broader trend of Korean companies expanding into Singapore, attracted by the city’s role as a gateway to Southeast Asia. Singapore offers robust infrastructure, business-friendly regulations, strong IP protection, and a vibrant financial and innovation ecosystem.

The market’s growing consumer interest in Korean culture, technology, and products creates unique opportunities for both B2B and B2C expansion. This momentum is further supported by the upgrade of bilateral ties, with Singapore and South Korea set to elevate their relationship to a strategic partnership by 2025, deepening collaboration in digital economy, trade, and innovation.

"It is a privilege to support the global expansion of such promising Korean startups. Each company in this year’s program brings outstanding innovation, and we are committed to ensuring the accelerator delivers tangible results for their international growth.” - Sooyeon Kwak, Program Manager at Tenity
