Singapore, 18 January 2026 – After six years of building Tenity’s presence in APAC, Jonas Thuerig is transitioning out of his role as Managing Partner & VP APAC. Cyrus Cruz will assume leadership as Head of APAC as we enter our next phase of growth.
This transition reflects a broader evolution in our APAC strategy. After several years of building and scaling Tenity’s presence in APAC, we are entering a new phase of growth for the region.
Since Tenity Singapore was established in 2020, our focus has been on establishing presence, building credibility, and laying strong foundations across key markets and institutions. That groundwork has enabled us to grow into a leading and trusted, fintech-first innovation ecosystem across the region.
As APAC continues to mature, our focus is evolving accordingly. Today, our direction is clear: supporting corporates with understanding, assessing, and adopting emerging technologies through market intelligence, ecosystem engagement, investment advisory, and structured partnerships.
We are pleased to share that Cyrus Cruz, APAC Strategic Growth (Hub Head) and Head of Insurance, will lead Tenity into this new chapter. Cyrus brings deep experience across financial services, corporate ventures, and digital strategy.
Since joining Tenity in early 2025, he has led our expansion, played a central role in shaping our strategic growth framework for 2025–26, and secured partnerships with major financial institutions. In his new role, Cyrus will continue to lead Tenity’s APAC efforts with a regionally grounded, domain-led approach.
The transition is already underway to ensure continuity across all partnerships, programs, and initiatives.
Andreas Iten, CEO & Co-Founder (Managing Partner) of Tenity, added:
“Jonas built a strong foundation for Tenity in APAC over six years, and we are grateful for his contributions. Cyrus has demonstrated exceptional strategic leadership since joining Tenity. His deep industry expertise, collaborative approach, and clear vision for APAC make him the right leader for this next phase. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to expand our impact in the region.”
We would like to sincerely thank Jonas for his leadership and contributions during Tenity’s formative years in APAC.
He established Tenity APAC out of the Singapore Hub in 2020 from the ground up, scaled the team to 8+ team members to deliver 30+ programs, worked with 20+ partners across the region, and saw investment in 40+ startups.
Beyond these milestones, Jonas brought a leadership style rooted in trust, thoughtfulness, and long-term perspective, shaping both our culture and how Tenity engages across the region.
We thank our partners and collaborators for their continued trust, and we look forward to building the next phase of Tenity APAC together: with greater regional depth, sharper focus, and a strong emphasis on delivering meaningful outcomes.
