Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye and Tenity have entered into a strategic partnership to launch the Horizon HealthTech Startup Challenge, a new innovation program designed to connect startups with tangible healthcare challenges and create opportunities for industry collaboration.
The partnership brings together Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye’s strong healthcare expertise, therapeutic area knowledge, and commitment to innovation with Tenity’s experience in building startup programs and connecting founders with corporates, investors, and ecosystems across innovation-driven sectors.
At its core, the Horizon HealthTech Startup Challenge is designed to give startups the opportunity to engage with healthcare challenges that are both timely and highly relevant to the realities of the sector. Rather than taking a broad innovation approach, the program is structured around specific areas where digital solutions, data-driven tools, and more connected care pathways can make a meaningful contribution.
The challenge will focus on the following area:
CRM360, centered on predictive analytics and holistic patient management, with a focus on enabling more connected, proactive, and insight-driven approaches to care.
Through this program, selected startups will gain the opportunity to engage directly with Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye teams, explore relevant use cases, and better understand where their solutions may create value within a real healthcare context. The program is intended not only to surface promising technologies, but also to create a more practical bridge between startup innovation and industry needs.
By working together, Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye and Tenity aim to create a platform where startups can bring forward solutions that are not only innovative in concept, but also relevant in implementation. For founders, this means direct exposure to healthcare expertise, feedback grounded in real-world priorities, and the opportunity to position their solutions within a meaningful collaboration environment. For the broader ecosystem, it represents a stronger connection between entrepreneurial talent and the healthcare challenges that require fresh thinking, applied technology, and cross-sector partnership.
A live challenge event to be held in Istanbul later in the program will bring together selected startups, Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye representatives, and ecosystem stakeholders for presentations, discussions, and further collaboration exploration.
“At Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye, we believe that meaningful healthcare innovation happens when science meets bold collaboration,”
said Okan Güner, General Manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Türkiye.
“As the healthcare industry rapidly evolves through digitalization and health technologies, partnering with the innovation ecosystem is essential. Our collaboration with Tenity through this Health Tech Start-up Challenge reflects our commitment to living our ‘Innovate and Drive Change’ behavior, driving forward long-term, patient-centered innovation. Together, we aim to support scalable health tech solutions that can make a real difference for patients and healthcare systems.”
“Innovation in the health sector requires a specialized environment where HealthTech solutions can be rigorously tested and scaled. This is the core mission of the partnership between Tenity and Boehringer Ingelheim.
We are connecting the dots between Türkiye’s high-growth startup ecosystem and Europe’s established healthcare infrastructure to transform digital concepts into clinical realities. By opening Boehringer Ingelheim’s global expertise to agile founders, we are creating a unique pathway for startups to run pilots, validate technology, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes. This is more than just local growth; it is about building the cross-border networks and platforms that empower Turkish HealthTech companies to expand and succeed globally.”
said Sabina Babayeva, Head of Istanbul Hub at Tenity.
Further details about the program, including focus areas and application timelines, will be announced in the coming weeks.
